汗蒸幕 (hanjeungmak, 한증막) is the traditional Korean-style sauna. it’s a form of deliberate heat exposure / thermotherapy
- The term literally means “sweat-steaming curtain” — a heated room (能量屋) you sit in and sweat
- Modern places often add themed rooms: salt room (鹽房), ice room (冰房), mineral/stone room (礦石房)
- Not a dry sauna (乾蒸), not a steam oven (蒸氣烤箱) — a separate category
- The room is built from tourmaline (碧璽) panels that emit far-infrared rays (遠紅外線) + negative ions (負離子)
- Constant low temperature of 38–43°C
- Detox: expels dampness (排濕), cold (排寒), and toxins (排毒)
- Circulation: unblocks meridians (經絡) and blood vessels (血管)
- Cellular: activates & repairs cells; wakes body cells from a “dormant” to an “active” state (細胞浴); calms the mind (安神); improves sleep & insomnia
- Body: balances body pH; beauty (美容); weight loss (減肥); reduces water retention
- Systems: improves blood circulation & respiratory function; relieves joint pain & inflammation/swelling; supports digestion and kidney function
- Immunity: strengthens immunity; helps prevent colds
