計畫永遠趕不上變化

「我與命運有個約會!(赴命運之約!)」 (I have a rendezvous with destiny!) ,意謂著生命的轉折點。

(Manson 2016)

“Life is essentially an endless series of problems. The solution to one problem is merely the creation of another.” — Mark Manson, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life

Problems are a feature of life, not a bug. There will never come a time when you have no problems.

“No amount of sophistication is going to allay the fact that all your knowledge is about the past and all your decisions are about the future.” — Ian Wilson

Life is uncertain, but you have to act anyway.

The VUCA Framework

VUCA stands for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity.

In his book Leaders Make the Future, futurist Vuca provides counterpoints to each that leaders can use:

  • Volatility yields to Vision
  • Uncertainty yields to Understanding
  • Complexity yields to Clarity
  • Ambiguity yields to Agility

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst
